Alfred Jones Croft Jr.

Alfred Jones Croft, Colonel USMC, 85, died December 24, 2011. He is survived by his wife Peggy Dunton Croft and son George Dunton Croft. He is predeceased by his sons Alfred Jones Croft III, and Alexander Christian Croft. He was born and reared in Manhattan. He is a graduate of The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, received a bachelor's degree from Fordham University, and master's degrees from George Washington University and George Mason University. Col. Croft served over 30 years in the Marine Corps. Subsequently, he was with for the Mutual Broadcasting System for 17 years. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. in St. Lukes Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Virginia 22101.
