"Thomas Roy Lowe was born in Wichita Falls, TX on April 8, 1925, to Paul Lowe and Virgie Ponder. Roy moved to Ft Worth, at the age of 5, following the death of his father.
Roy graduated from North side High School. When he was 18, he enlisted in the Marines, and he served in WWII, in Okinawa, the last big battle in that war. Roy was very proud of his service in WWII as a US Marine, and, a gifted story-teller, he often related stories from that time.
Following his service, he met the great love of his life, Doris Weathers, "the most beautiful girl I had ever seen," and they married. They were married 75 years.
Roy graduated from TCU in 1950, and worked as an accountant at Bell Helicopter and at Lockheed Martin. During that time, he also pastored two churches, one in River Oaks, TX, and one in San Angelo, TX. Christian service was a hallmark of his entire life.
Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, whom he called Mandy. Roy is survived by children LuAnn Pennington, Melinda Lowe, and Jay Lowe, by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and many treasured friends.
