Roy Carl Hart

Roy was born in Aiken, South Carolina on December 11, 1941, to Melvin and Katherine Trotter Hart. He married Janice Connell Hart and they had a daughter, Brittany. Roy was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He was very involved with his daughter and coached Brittany’s fast pitch softball teams throughout her career. He loved all the girls he had the privilege of coaching and was especially proud of the hard work, determination, and competitive spirit that he shared with his daughter. He worked for 35 years at General Motors until his retirement. Roy also had a compassionate spirit when it came to animals and he would be honored if in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the SPCA of Dallas or Buddies Place Cat Rescue of Arlington, Texas. He will be missed.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his in laws: Joseph D. Connell, Sr. and Barbara Connell, and his brother in law, Joseph D. Connell, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Brittany Deann Hart and boyfriend Jerry Cooper of Grand Prairie: sister in law; Beverly Connell Taylor: brothers: Gerald Hart of Grand Prairie, Donald Hart and wife Dianne of Evans, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews, and faithful companion “Lucky”.
