Ronald Wayne Mercer

Ronald Wayne Mercer, 71, of Granbury Texas, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021. He will be truly missed.

Ronald was born to Amos Weldon Mercer and Mary Izella Mercer. He grew up with his two sisters and one brother. On March 23, 1970 he was called to serve in the US Army by the country he loved, and he proudly served with honor. He was a true and honorable patriot.

Ronald was kind, generous, loving, funny, and strong. He loved being a retiree and enjoyed his RV lifestyle. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He always extended invitations to all his family for gatherings, vacations, and road trips. Ronald loved traveling, trout fishing and dancing. He was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Ronald is survived by his loving family. Children: Christopher John, wife Tara; Amy Constance; Sondra Marie, husband Junior; and Mark Elliott, wife Jennie. Grandchildren: Abel Cruz, Alexander Damien, Caitlyn Marie, Cody Lee, Colton Douglas, Jacob Christopher, Madelyn Grace, and Christopher William. Great-grandchildren: Alyssa Ann-Marie, Alyza Michelle, and Melody Elena. Siblings: Mary Lou, Carol Ann, and Roger Weldon. Best Friend: Adelita

The funeral service will be held on December 1, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am. The Chapel Service will begin at 12:00 pm. The Burial Service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. The Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Hall Post 379 at 4:00 pm. Ronald's family will be present to welcome loved ones and to extend their gratitude.
