Ronald Ellsworth Johnson

Ron was born September 26, 1952 to Ronald Fremont and Carolyn Johnson in Jamestown, Ohio. The family moved from Ohio to Arlington, Texas in 1967. He graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1971.

After high school, Ron joined the U.S. Navy. He served from 1972 to 1983 doing three tours on the submarine, U.S.S. Nathanial Green. After his military career he was a member of the Masons and the Shriners

Even though Ron hit a few sand traps in life, he scored a hole-in-one when he met and married Mary Jo Kuchkowski. During their 49-year marriage they were blessed with two children and four grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Johnson, his son and daughter-in-law Reverend and Christina Johnson, his daughter and son-in-law Brian and Krystal East, his adopted son Fritz , his grandchildren, Sarina Garner, Shelby, Seth, and Shaye Jo East, his sister Rhonda Galutzo, his brother and sister-in-law John and Tammy Johnson, and his brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Denise Johnson.

We all join together to hope and pray that Ron is happy now, partying on that 19th hole in the sky.

A memorial celebration for Ronald will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Rail Club, 3101 Joyce Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76116.
