She was preceded in death by her parents Lorella and Audrey Brisendine and sister Annabell Cooper.
She is survived by her husband F.L. "Mac" McGowen; sister Lovita Vinson; daughters Paula McCoy and husband Donald, Pamela Scott and husband Christopher; step-children Lisa Rodriguez and husband Hugo, Michael McGowen, Patrick McGowen and wife Karen; and numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and friends.
Peggy was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She served as Post 8561, District 21, and Texas State Auxiliary Presidents. Peggy was an active member of the Grand Prairie Congregational Methodist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved and will be missed.
Funeral service will be at 12:00pm on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:15pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Auxiliary Cancer Aid and Research.
