Paul was the All-American kid, who loved to play baseball and was quarterback of his high school football team at Denison High School. Paul accepted a scholarship to Tarleton State to play football and went on the become the nation’s top punter in junior college.
He married the love of his life, Joyce L. Childers on September 16, 1961. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage and had two children, Kimberly Sanford and Paul D. Burnett.
In 1966, Paul and Joyce founded Burnett’s Staffing, Inc., a success staffing business, which today continues in his legacy at the helm of his son, Paul D. Burnett, and three of his four grandchildren.
Paul was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, Christian, businessman, fisherman, and storyteller. He enjoyed adventures traveling, fishing, ranching, and cheering on his grandchildren.
Paul is succeeded by his wife, Joyce Burnett, son Paul D. Burnett and wife Jeri, daughter Kimberly Sanford and husband Tom, grandchildren, Kayli Burnett, Alex Sanford, Makenzie Bonham and husband Kris, Brayden Burnett and wife Ashley, and two great-grandchildren, Walker Paul and Nora Burnett.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at Moore Funeral Home at 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
