Mary Ruth Haynes

Mary Ruth Haynes, 85, left this earthly home March 23, 2024 in Irving, Texas. She was born November 6, 1938 in Scott City, Kansas to Otis and Esther Petefish. Mary was raised in Scott City where she attended and graduated from Emporia State University in 1964. She married the love of her life Herbert Haynes in 1968 and they had two beautiful daughters. Mary was a librarian and homemaker. She enjoyed many things in her spare time including reading, sewing, talking to friends, writing letters; and playing piano, violin, and organ.

Mary’s family and friends will always remember her as genuinely joyful person who was always looking for ways to encourage others. She loved the Lord with all her heart and she never stopped seeking to fulfill God’s purpose for her life.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years Herbert Ruben Haynes; parents, Otis and Esther Petefish.

Left to cherish her memory daughters, Harriet Ramos and husband Abraham; Esther Flores and husband Napoleon; granddaughter, Cristina Ramos, and brother Frank Petefish and wife Donna.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 2212 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
