Martha "Mott" Ann Ashley

Martha Ann "Mott" Ashley, age 82, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020. Martha was born February 7, 1938 in Hughes Springs, Texas. Graduated High School in Minden, Louisiana. She attended business school and was hired by Helen Campbell Real Estate in Tyler, Texas, selling residential and commercial real estate. Mott later established Ashley Real Estate after earning her Texas Real Estate Brokers License. Martha loved traveling in her RV and camping with her many longtime friends. Ruidoso, New Mexico was a frequent destination as she enjoyed spending time at her cabin with amazing views of Sierra Blanca. Mott enjoyed the symphony and art museums and her friends and family admired her intellect and wit.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; Janet Bolton Ashley and Frank Hughes Ashley, a nephew; Brett Harlow and a great nephew; Brett Harlow Jr.

Martha was survived by her partner of 18 years; Mary Ellison, a sister; Jenny Harlow, a brother; Harvey Ashley, a nephew; Robert Harlow, a great niece; Samantha and other nieces and nephews.

Mott was born within a half of a mile of the Ashley Family Burial site where she will be interred next to her beloved Keni, her partner of 26 years. The Ashley's are descendants of Reece Hughes.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Martha's Life. A Graveside Service will be held at Hughes Springs Cemetery in Hughes Springs, Texas on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 11 AM.
