She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Alejandro T. Briseno, whom she cared for until he passed in 1996. She is also preceded in death by five of their children, Pepe, Baby Roberto, Jose Alejandro “Joe”, Maria Esther “Tey”, and Roberto “Robe”.
She is survived by her four sons, Homero (Annie), Ramiro (Olga), Rigoberto (Gloria), and Dagoberto (Cheryl); three daughters, Florestela (Salvador +), Anadelia (Alfredo), and youngest daughter, Eva “Baby” (Trino) and her children, Alondrita and Tico, with whom she spent many special moments; daughter in law, Lupe; two sisters, Angelita Castaneda and Argentina Saldivar; and a host of grandkids and extended family who loved her dearly.
She worked very hard alongside her husband for many years as a migrant worker until settling in Lansing, Michigan in 1971, sharing many happy and sad times. She loved her children unconditionally and cared for them to the best of her ability.
She enjoyed several hobbies; her garden always came first, crochet, ceramics, dried flower arrangements, sewing, and embroidery. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, going to the casino, and listening to music. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
We will be celebrating her life on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2:00pm at Moore Funeral Home.
