Leonard Terry Tate

Leonard Terry Tate, 93, left this earth July 4th, 2024 and is now with the Lord. Terry was born January 7, 1931 at home in Sardis, Texas to Jesse Leo and Eva Louise Tate. Leonard Terry was raised in Sardis until the age of 11. His family moved to Waxahachie, Texas where he attended high school and graduated from Southwestern Bible Institute. This is where he met the love of his life, Annie Joyce Greer. They married in 1950 and had 74 years of blissful marriage.

Terry and Joyce had 3 children and lived most of their years in Arlington, Texas, where they attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. Terry worked hard to provide for his family that he dearly loved. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing, which he often shared with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Gerald Tate, and his son Terry Layne Tate.

Left to cherish Terry's memory, his beloved wife, Joyce Tate; children, Candi Harrelson and husband Jay, Danita Rodden and husband Ferrell; grandchildren, Leonard Kevin, Buffy, Terry Michael, Stephanie, Christopher, Russell, Randy, Jennifer, and 17 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Leonard will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington, TX., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
