Larry Don Wilson

Larry grew up and attended High School in Fort Worth. While working he put himself through Tarrant County Junior College where he obtained an Associate's Degree that launched his 40 plus years career as a Respiratory Therapist in the healthcare industry. He dedicated himself to becoming an expert in his field and held the credentials of registered respiratory therapist (RRT), Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS). Larry spent 34 years at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital where he proudly worked his way up to the position of Cardiopulmonary Manager.

Larry and Vickey met in Arlington, Texas in 1987 and married on September 6, 1988. Their family started with Vickey's daughter Shannon, then began to grow with the birth of their son, Joshua, in 1992. Through their faith, they felt God’s calling and began fostering children. This led to the adoption of Sarah and Jonathon in 1999. Larry was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family.

Larry was an avid sports fan. He loved football; especially his TCU Horned Frogs and The Dallas Cowboys. If it was football season, you could find him right in front of his TV with the game on. He also loved and took pride in maintaining his home and beautiful lawn.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Sue Wilson; and his daughter, Michelle Magidson. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Vickey Wilson; his children Shannon (Russell) Eichblatt, Kim Wilson, Joshua (Devon) Wilson, Sarah Wilson, and Jonathon Wilson; his grandchildren, Connor Magidson, Lexi Magidson, and Gracie Wilson; his brother Danny Wilson; and his extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm, his birthday and anniversary at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas 76016.
