Services for Larry Wayne Davis will be held graveside, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Parkdale Cemetery 701 Mary Street, Arlington, Texas. Pastor Gary Cox will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation, Friday, June 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Larry Wayne Davis was born October 7, 1941 in Dallas, Texas, the only child of Ted Brownie Davis and Virginia Eloise Brown Davis. He married Laurel Ruth Davis March 16, 1968 in Arlington. She preceded him in death July 2, 2001. Larry served in the United States Army as a Medical Corpsman from January 20, 1964 to January 19, 1966 during which time he received the Good Conduct Medal and Marksman Badge for Rifle. He spent his working years as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and found more time to do so, as well as spending time with family after his retirement.
Mr. Davis is survived by his two sons; Teddy Davis and his wife Debbie and Cody Davis, and by two grandchildren, Megan Davis and Carson Davis.
