James C. French, Jr. was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He left this world after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Jim was born to James C. French, Sr. and Cherokee Welch Helm on March 26, 1946 in Winnsboro, Tx. After graduating High School he married his high school sweet heart, Carol Ann Pallett. Together they had two children, Alan and Beth. He was a terrific father throughout his life making sure his kids were taken care of, providing them guidance and the opportunities to succeed.
Jim loved life! He enjoyed time with family and friends the most. He was the life of the party often starting a line dance if he heard the Electric Slide, usually with a margarita in hand. He was always ready for a good card game. If he took your money, it was put in a jar for you to use the next time to make sure you could play.
He traveled the world extensively working with the Army Air Force Exchange Service where he retired in 2005 after 27 years managing Global Distribution Operations.
Upon retirement he and Carol settled in Mt Pleasant, TN where he enjoyed his spacious 5 acre property in the rolling hills and spending time with grandkids until Carol passed away in 2008 after 44 years of marriage.
Jim was caring and giving but wasn’t meant to be alone! Carolyn Bradley was placed in his path in 2009. They married in 2013 bringing even more family into his life which he truly enjoyed through his last 10 years. He was an active member at Church at the Mount, in Mt. Pleasant, TN where he loved and served the community.
Jim is survived by his wife Carolyn French, his son Alan French [Dianna], his daughter, Beth Shirley [Larry], grandchildren James [Ashley], Tristan [Alyssa], Brianna, Jackson (Kristyn) and Lily Ann, 7 great grandchildren, and his brother Larry French . He was preceded in death by his wife Carol French, his father Jim French, Sr. and step-mother Merlene, his mother Cherokee Helm and step-father Jack, and his brother Michael French
