Funeral services for Harvey L. Ribble will be held at Moore Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 26 at 11:00 AM in the South Chapel. The Visitation will be held before the service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
Harvey Lynn Ribble, 82, of Arlington, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, in Bedford, Texas surrounded by his family. Harvey was born on February 19, 1942, in Ennis, Texas to Harvey and Lorena Ribble.
A lifelong resident of Texas, Harvey was raised in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in 1960. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting in1965 and earned his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Harvey was an outstanding CPA and partner for Brown and Ribble for over 50 years.
Harvey met the love of his life Cheryl while both were working at Six Flags over Texas. They have been happily married for over 59 years, living in their home in Arlington, TX for nearly 50 years.
Harvey was known as the most kind and friendly person many have ever met, and for his unwavering commitment to his family. He was also known as Coach Ribble, the best youth soccer coach in Arlington, not just for winning but for his teams’ great sportsmanship. He was also a poor golfer and everyone’s favorite poker player.
Harvey is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Henson Ribble, their two children Melinda Ribble Sprang and her husband Chris Sprang and Michael Ribble and his wife Ana Blanton, his six grandchildren Collin Sprang and wife Katie, Kyle Sprang, Jared Ribble and wife Alanah, Matthew Ribble, Preston Ribble, and Nicholas Blanton, his great granddaughter Mackenna Ribble, his sister Diana Hall, brother-in-law Gary Henson, and numerous adored nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey C. Ribble and Lorena Ribble, his brother-in-law Lloyd Hall Jr., and two cherished nephews.
