Harold Rodney Braswell, age 84, of North Richland Hills, TX left this world on February 22, 2023. He was born September 19, 1938 in Cleveland Mississippi to Vader Jefferson Braswell and Bertha Bell Braswell.
After he graduated from Greenville High School, Harold enlisted and served in the United States Army for three proud years before he was honorably discharged.
He married Shirley Elizabeth Braswell on February 27, 1965 and through their union they were blessed with two daughters and one son. Harold worked as a machine operator at Shoreline making boat trailers until the company closed their doors. He enjoyed the simple things in life.
He spent his free time fishing, playing cards with friends, going to bingo with his wife, doing puzzles, and watching old westerns, especially the ones with John Wayne. He was a man of strong conviction and would talk with any who would listen, especially when he was able to share his faith. Harold had two loves in his life; God and his family.
He will be remembered fondly by all as a proud veteran, loving father, hard worker, and a brother in Christ. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
He is survived by three children: Susan LeGrand, Rebecca Braswell, and Rodney Braswell; four grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Three siblings: Ann Williams, Lloyd Braswell, and Floyd Braswell.
He is reunited in death with his parents, Bertha Bell Braswell and Vader Jefferson Braswell, one brother, Vader J. Braswell Jr., and his beloved wife, Shirley Elizabeth Braswell.
The Visitation for Harold will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas.
The Committal service will occur Monday, March 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
