I love you n miss you..ur were my light u guideded me to were i needed to be so Jesus could do the rest.

Momma had a great sense of humor always making us laugh, being silly was just part of how she showed us her love.  I was 13yrs old when I needed gallbladder surgery. We checked in the 
hospital the night before, had to fast, so momma thought she'd keep me busy with a card game, but then she took out the disposable camera, she said let's play like we are models but do funny face poses, we'd giggle, then a thought hit her brain,what would a  fly on the wall see and think watching us, even funnier she says what would a fly have seen from the ceiling so mom proceeds to say I know how we can document it on the camera and have a laugh...she says Jessica,  Do you know what a fly on the ceiling looking down on you would see or look like for that  matter. I said,"I think I should take one of Me laying in bed looking at the said fly. Then I thought she was just going to hover the 📷 above my head, but no! If you know mom, you know she suddenly got onto the bed, straddles my body, I started laughing harder, it made me laugh/cry, turn red, & start choking.. the look of terror and sheer delight in her face,that we were having such good time in the hospital with just a disposable camera. that's when she lost it laughing ,as she was steadying herself,balancing on the twin air mattress hospital bed, above me. she takes a pic of me struggling to breathe but smiling, then another red faced &choking. I say what if a nurse comes in.  You'd better hurry, take my pic above you acting like Im taking your pic.   But in the picture of me on the bed only take top half of me, so it looks like your under me. We both started  laughing even harder, that's when my nurse walked in, it was right  when moms on top of the bed ready to get her picture taken  by me at the door and this is what the nurse Saw ..  when Dad saw  what was developed,we just started laughing again, having to retell the whole event over again explaining why we had such weird pics before surgery... 

Elaine was a blessing to me and many others, always  putting the Lord first in her life.    She will be missed on earth but welcomed in heaven. God speed Elaine. 

I’m not like Caryl who has so many memories of Elaine.  I just have memories of long talks on the phone with Elaine and of sitting and talking to her at their home.  I love Elaine and look forward to spending eternity with her.  Our friendship is precious to me.  I wasn’t able to see Elaine for the past 17 years after we moved away, but she was always on my heart.  She and Tonya made the long trip to Tool, Tx to attend my daughter’s funeral.  Such a treasured memory.  Love you, Elaine!

ROAD TRIP!
Once upon a time, we were on our way south--ROAD TRIP! I think we were going to San Antonio. I was reading to her as we whizzed down the highway. She stops me saying, "What is that?" "What?" I asked. "Behind us."

I turned and it was like a mustang police car with blue and red lights flashing. He pulled her over and gave her a ticket for doing 85 in a 70! It was a lie! She had the cruise control set and even with reading, I knew many cars were flying by us and we were in the next to far-right hand (slow) lane.

We tried to tell him, but he wouldn't hear it. Well, time passed and she got a letter with the court date on it. She'd have to return to West, Texas to fight it.  Of course, I agreed to go with her, so another ROAD TRIP!! 

When we got there, she discovered that she had to be her own lawyer since she didn't have one. She was discombobulated! Tee hee hee! I thought it was a riot! So we figure out how she's going to attack the case. First, she has to do the voir dire (picking the jury) so we scribbled down some questions to confirm or deny the locals. 

At first, they weren't going to let me go in to hear the "case'" proceed since I was her witness, but then they let me. She went into her Perry Mason role, acting like a seasoned attorney as she'd done that a thousand times. She got to having fun with it! She called me to the stand and we creamed the prosecution. The jury acquitted her, then we had a celebratory lunch in the little Chech town diner! 

We never forgot West Texas and that hilarious adventure! It was a good source for a belly laugh for years! <3  

I remember when I was little and I would hop on my Mimi bed and she would say hey my little Elaine I would say hi Mimi and we would talk and before I would leave her room I would say can I have my tickles and she would put her hand on my knee and start squeezing it lightly and that was her way of tickling me no one on earth I know can do that like her I love you Mimi and I'll see you again watch me graduate from the heavens I'll do it for only u no one else
