Donna Lee Hodge Chenoweth was born June 25, 1931 in St. Louis, Mo. Her parents were Lorene Lee and Vernon Hodge. Donna studied singing and was a vocal major at William Woods College. She worked as an opera singer in St. Louis, as well as singing on radio commercials and on televised church services. She married Robert Chenoweth in 1960. They moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1964, where Robert was a stockbroker, and Donna sang for church, weddings, choral concerts, did much volunteer work in the community, and even appeared in a few productions at Enid’s Gaslight Theater. She later became a buyer for a friend’s boutique, attending the Dallas Apparel Market several times per year. The Chenoweths loved to travel, having adventures all around the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe, and had many friends in Enid, often hosting parties in their home. Donna and Robert were members of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Anglican church in Edmond Oklahoma. A year after the 2003 death of Robert, Donna moved to Arlington to be near LeeAnne and her young daughters and began attending St. Alban’s Anglican Church.
Donna is survived by her son, Bradley Alan Stuckenberg and his wife Sandee, grandson Kyle Stuckenberg and his wife Ally, granddaughter Kimberlee Megan Stuckenberg Miller, as well as 2 great grandsons Jack and Max, by Kimberlee’s marriage to Scott Miller, all living in California. Locally, Donna is survived by her daughter LeeAnne Chenoweth Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson Jr., granddaughter Cayla Jane Lawson Hingano and husband Kevin plus infant sons Kaelo and K. J., and granddaughter Jessica Lee Lawson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 11 AM at Saint Alban's Anglican Church - 911 S. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Also, any donations in her memory can be made to Saint Alban's Anglican Church.
