He had battled Cancer and Dementia in his final years, but Sunday he was welcomed into his Heavenly Home.
Delbert was born July 7, 1942, in Loraine, Texas to Ralph Edel and Leona Pearl Parker. In his younger years, Delbert was an avid tennis player and had a reputation of being the best in his hometown.
He joined the Navy in 1963 and served in Guantanamo Bay. Delbert worked as a machinist most of his life and took great pride in his work.
Other than spending time with his family, that he loved dearly, Delbert enjoyed football, baseball, trying new restaurants, and playing cards and dominos. He will be missed by all.
Delbert was preceded in death by Daughter Sharon Kay, Father Ralph, Mother Leona, Brother Gene, Sister Lanelle, Grandson William, Great-Grandson Mikail Wali and Wife Wanda.
Survivors: Son Bobby Parker, Daughters Melissa Yates and Sherri Carter-Parker; Brother Dwayne Parker and wife Nikki, Sister Dorothy Holmes and husband Glynn, Sister Norma Specht and husband Ed; Grandchildren, Kimberly Ransom and husband Shawn, Anthony Yates, Johnny Yates and wife Isabel, Stephanie Johnson and husband Jarrod, Adam Stark and wife Jessica, and Christina Stark; and 11 Great Grandchildren. He also had many nieces and nephews. Family Visitation at Moore Funeral Home Davis Drive, Arlington will be at 11:30 am Friday January 21, 2022 and the funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm and the burial at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington.
