My thoughts and prayers still go out to Bernie, Nikki, Traci, Christi, and all the grandchildren. I keep the purple "pray for cure" on my desk at work as a daily reminder. As Thanksgiving approaches I smile and think of Debbie's yearly Turkey song...& soon to follow Christmas. She was definitely my work Mom and I miss each and every day. I am so thankful to have known her and learn so much from her. She's a blessing. She is forever treasured in my heart and memory. She lives on :o)

Debbie we loved you so much and are so thankful God brought you into our family and into our hearts. We will miss you dear sister but your memory lives on in all of us.

Bernie and family, My heart goes out to all of you. I will never forget the good times we had way back when you lived in San Diego, I will remember what a Good Loving, Caring Mama Debbie was and I wont forget how she outran me in soccer and how she made me laugh. It saddens me to know she has gone home to rest. She will have God's enternal light around her. Now We Celebrate her Life and we Cherish the Memories. Hugs and prayers to the family.

Debbie will be missed by so many. She would always listen to my crazy ghost stories, and my stories about the crazy ducks. She might gone but she will never be forgotten.

My sincerest sympathy to all of the Tompkins family.  Debbie was a soccer teammate that I had not seen in a few years.  I was sorry to hear she was battling cancer recently, because Debbie was always a bright spot on the team-- a true team player and I never remember hearing her utter a bad word about anyone or complaning about anything.  I feel sunshine on me now just thinking about her.  Lucky are the ones she will shine upon forever. I'm lucky to have known her.

Debbie will be greatly missed.. She was an awesome woman. My thoughts & prayers are with her family.

For several years we sat together warming the bleachers watching our girls play several different sports. She was always so kind and cheered on the whole team as if they were her own.  Never did she criticize anyone.  Her daughters adored her and Bernie's love showed on his face when he looked at her. To all of you,our hearts go out to you. God be with each one of her family here and away as well as all those that her heart and smiles touched.

I received the following message the other day and wanted to share it with you:  'Every great loss demands that we choose life again. Grieving is not about forgetting. Grieving allows us to heal, to remember with love instead of with pain. Its a sorting process.....One by one you let go of the things that are gone and mourn them. Debbie, I will never forget how strong you were and how you and I would visit and talk and you would encourage me. I'll always remember picking out penguins for you when you were on my team and seeing them on your desk! My heart is broken that I won't see you here on earth anymore and that I didn't get a chance to tell you goodbye! I take comfort in know though, that the last time I talked to you at work, I hugged you and I told you I loved you and you told me you loved me! That memory will stay with me forever until I see you again in heaven where we will both be well and happy!!! My prayers and hugs to the family, you are in my prayers!!
