Dean was born to Leona Crowder and Owen Lambert on August 14th, 1945. He grew up in Gladwin, Michigan with his three brothers, Claude, Albert, and Delbert, whom preceded him in death.
Dean served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1986. During this time he met his wife, JoAnn, in 1979. In the later part of his career in the Marine Corps, Dean specialized in aircraft weapons and naval avionics systems, achieving the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
After retirement from the Marine Corps, Dean entered into a career in aircraft technical writing, first at General Dynamics and later at Lockheed Martin, from which he retired in the year 2000.
Dean is survived by his wife, JoAnn Lambert; daughter, Sandra Peschka; grandsons, Tyler and Ryan Peschka; granddaughter, Brandy Walder; great-grandsons Matthew Walder, Leo Peshka, Keith Rippon and Dalton Parker.
His loved ones will always recall his even temperament and his patent academic nature, manifested in his intense passion for debate.
A service honoring the life of Dean, will be held at Hawkins Cemetery on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 pm in Arlington, Texas.
