Carolyn Elizabeth Eakins

ARLINGTON- Carolyn Elizabeth Eakins, nee Jones, 62, went home to her Lord’s embrace on Saturday April 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road in Arlington. Interment will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will receive friends to rejoice in her life at the funeral home for visitation on Thursday night from 6-8 PM.

Carolyn was a dedicated wife for 33 years till her husband, Jim Eakins, passed away. She was a loving and wonderful mother to her 3 three children, 10 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other kids who walked through her door. She was a faithful friend to those who were blessed to know her. Carolyn cared for an abundance of people as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for more than 26 years. She enjoyed her time with her family and friends along with gardening and shopping. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eakins; parents, Thelma Marie and Willie Ray Jones; grandson, James McGrew; sister, Shirley Marr; and infant brother, Donald Jones.

Survivors include her children, Clay Eakins and Kitsi nee Barns, James Ray Eakins and Robin nee Rose, Tanya McGrew and Brian; grandchildren, Michael Curnutt, David Curnutt, Dustin Rogers, Nicky Curnutt, Taylor Eakins, Clayton Eakins, Isaiah McGrew, Kaleb McGrew, Grace Eakins, and Josiah McGrew; great grandchildren, Peyton, Riley, Cason, Lincoln, and Carter; Siblings, Glenn Jones, Willy Jones, Jennifer Pullen, Allen, Harold, Kathy, and Stevie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
