Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bruce was born in Grand Saline on July 4, 1926, to Frank and Ollie Washmon. He married Winnie Maxine Daniels during World War II and had two sons. Winnie preceded him in death.
He married Bobby Marie Randles on May 10, 1985, and remained married to her until his death. He worked for Rock Island Railroad for a few years before settling in for a career with Texas Electric Co. He enjoyed fishing, golf and coaching Little League baseball. He was an avid sports fan.
He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He belonged to the Handley Masonic Lodge and was a member of Arborlawn United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
He was beloved by family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, loving staff at The Legacy at Bear Creek.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Flowers, and husband, Re Flowers, of Kennedale; and brother, Charles Washmon of Tyler.
Survivors: Wife, Bobby Washmon of Keller; sons, Michael Washmon of Yantis and Tim Washmon and wife, Renda, of Keller; stepdaughter, Patti Markos and her husband, Chris; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
