Betty was born in Fairlie, Texas to Loid & Lilly Perkins on May 5, 1934.
She spent most of her early years picking cotton with her family. She met the love of her life, Huston, and married on July 21, 1954. They were married 69 years at the time of Huston’s death in 2020.
As a homemaker she loved making clothes for her family and Barbie Doll clothes for the neighborhood girls. Betty spent many years along side her husband with the Lone Star Vintage Chevrolet Club, Dallas Model A Ford Club, and Ft. Worth Model A Club.
Having owned several antique cars, they participated in many trips, parades and events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Huston, her parents, Loid and Lilly Perkins, and her brother Melvin.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise Edward and Diana Bryant and her husband Dutch; Grandsons, Chris Shoemaker, Kevin Shoemaker, Paden Bryant, Derek Bryant, and Shelby Edwards; Six great-grandkids; Two sisters, Billie Taylor and Della White and several nieces.
