Ben was born May 17, 1940 to Thelma and Bennie Rhodes. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from Adamson High School before attending college at the University of Texas in Arlington. Ben worked at Schepps Dairy for 41 years as a Territorial Sales Manager.
Ben was actively involved in his church and service work. He was a member of the Gideons and Kiwanas. He was on the Arlington ISD school board where he served for 12 years
Ben was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Mayhew; and sister, Linda Allen.
He is survived by his spouse, Carolyn Rhodes; his son, Keith Rhodes and spouse, Dawn; granddaughters, Lyssa Pitts and Katelyn Rhodes; great-granddaughters, Kairi and Elara Pitts; sisters, Diana Rhodes and Phyllis Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Ben will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A committal service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Pitts, Eric Jenkins, Ryan Finch, Robbie Balusek, Jason Perkins and Bradley Finch.
