Barbara Jean Rockett

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home.

Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington.

She was born in The Bronx, N.Y., on Nov. 19, 1946. Barbara graduated from Camp Lejune High School and received a degree as a registered nurse from St. Petersberg Professional School of Nursing. She married Bruce Alan Rockett on Oct. 18, 1969. Barbara worked as an RN in the U.S. Air Force, Texas Christian University Clinic and the Pediatric Clinic of Drs. Blanche and Jack Terrell. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Arlington Woman's Club, Encore, and had a passion for her grandchildren, Girl Scouts, volunteer work and helping others.

Survivors: Barbara is survived by her husband, Bruce Alan Rockett of Arlington; son, Chris Rockett and wife, Susie, of Abilene; daughter, Shannon Annen and husband, Matthew, of Arlington; son, Stephen Rockett of Arlington; grandchildren, Amelia Susan Rockett, 5, of Abliene, Wyatt Peter Annen, 4, of Arlington, Eleanor Gene Rockett, 1, of Abliene; and brother, James R. Hodges of Ovideo, Fla.
