We remember Ashley as a sweet little cousin and playmate of our daughter, Claire.  We would see each other at least once a year at family reunions and at other times between reunions.  Ashley was ALWAYS a sweet child and grew into a lovely and sweet young woman.  Our last time to see her was in January at her beautiful and very cold outdoor wedding.  Once we moved inside after the ceremony for the reception, we were all warmed by hot cocoa.  The wedding was a time of great joy, love, and happiness.  Ashley made this world a sweeter place for her husband, for her parents, for her extended family, and for her friends.  She will always be loved and always remembered.  

Ashley was one of the brightest lights of my days working on cruise ships. We met my first contract, and I was fortunate enough to work with her on my second too. She had such a way with people, skills, and an aura that you just wanted to be around. She was my rock in hard times, and in the best of times. I'll never forget her smile, her warmth and hugs. 

Gone far too soon, will miss you Ashley, as will so many others. 

Ashley was one of the kindest individuals I came across at Webster. She always had a smile on her face, and was willing to help. We always made jokes that we were related (both maiden names Newman) and I remember vividly celebrating her birthday at Little Theatre on the Square. This is a massive loss for so many but also the theatre community and our Webster Conservatory family. I am sending so much love to her family and all her friends. 

I met Ashley through Royal Caribbean. We worked on the same ship together and had the same emergency procedures so we were together a lot for that. 

I often think back on my ‘ship life’ days, and Ashley is always included in this. She taught me my emergency duties. Drill wasn’t something that people looked forward to, but when I was there, Ashley and I made it fun for each other. I just remember her being so full of joy!! 
I will never forget the kindness she showed me one day - To cut a long story short - I got a tattoo, my card wouldn’t withdraw money, the tattoo artist drove me to the ship, still wasn’t working. I would’ve missed the ship if it hadn’t been for Ashley and her kind heart. She gave me money without even thinking about it. 

It’s not much, but I just hope you read this and know how many lives she changed and how much of a bright person she was. May she rest in peace. 

Ashley was a wonderful, welcoming soul.  She will be missed.
