Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington. Graveside services will full military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
Algie was born on March 17, 1943 in Waco, Texas, a son of Oliver Livingston and May Dell Pearson. He graduated from Carver High School in Waco. Algie enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962 and retired as Master Sergeant in 1988. He then worked for the San Antonio Independent School District as a bus driver. Algie loved the children and thought of them as his own. He had a passion for bowling and received multiple winning rings for his bowling achievement. His greatest love was for the Lord and his family.
Algie is survived by three sons, Nick Carter and wife Sue, Anthony Carter and wife Lorri, and Angelo Carter and wife Yvette; one sister, Wanda Dugas and husband Lloyd; and seven grandchildren, Kristiana, Suzanna, Averi, LaNae, Angelo, Garrett, and Alexis Carter.
