

Theresa Pakaski (née Grossi) passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Theresa was married to Alexander Pakaski who was born in Daruvar, Yugoslavia in 1926, and he preceded her in death in May of 1990.
Theresa had three children, Alan (Dawn) Pakaski, Sandra (Don) Izewski, and Robert Pakaski, six grandchildren (Michael, Lisa, and Kimberly; Nathaniel; and Matthew, Jessica), and 12 great grandchildren (Adelyn, Breanna, Callie, Daeya, Emery; Wyatt, Liam, Natalie, and Weston; and Henry, Autumn, and Avery).
Theresa was a true matriarch of the family, setting an example of Christian faith and devotion. She had three siblings, an older sister who passed away in infancy, and two younger brothers, Frank and Mario.
She was born in Chicago in 1937, and lived in Palmer Square in Chicago, then Wheeling, and finally in Buffalo Grove where she spent her last 12 years at Sunrise Assisted Living in Buffalo Grove where she was beloved by the staff and other residents.
Her favorite hobbies included reading, watching sports, tolerating politics, and taking interest in the lives of others, including her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
