Richard "Dick" Anthony Winsauer

Richard A. “Dick” Winsauer 94, was born on August 11. 1930 to the late William and late Ethel Winsauer and passed away December 13, 2024. Dick was the beloved husband of the late Marianne Winsauer; loving father of Kevin(Connie)Winsauer, and the late Bill Winsauer; loving step-father of Paula(Brian)Hirt, Norman Norberg and the late Glen Norberg; caring grandfather of Carly Winsauer, Kelley Hirt, Darcy Hirt, Erik Hirt, Kyle Norberg and the late Mack Winsauer; dear brother of the late Mick Watson, Dorothy Matthews and Skip Winsauer; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Dick received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1952 and went on to get his Masters in Business Management from Northwestern University.

Dick worked as an Executive for Motorola in Schaumburg, IL. where he traveled to many foreign countries over his 35 year career.

After his retirement he traveled extensively with Marianne to Europe, and all the Continents except for Antarctica. They took a camper across the United States.Dick was a lifelong Cubs fan and would watch the entire game telecast from start to finish all leading up to that great World Series victory.Dick had a woodworking shop in Wisconsin where he would make birdhouses, playhouse for the kids and furniture.Dick loved to play and watch golf and attended all four major tournaments in person.

Dick had at times exuded a stern and stoic exterior, but underneath it all was a warm and caring individual. He had a good, long and fulfilling life, which helped him live in his home until he was 93 and would eventually become a resident of Mt. Prospect Senior Living. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday December 19, 2024 from 9am until time of mass 10am at St Clare of Assisi Parish (Formerly St. Cecilia Catholic Church)700 S. Meier Rd Mt Prospect, IL. 60056. Interment All Saints Cemetery
