Donna L. Franczyk

Donna L. Franczyk, 80 of Mount Prospect was born December 8, 1940 in Marseilles, IL to Michael and Nellie (Zaitoon) Trad and passed away November 4, 2021. Donna was the beloved wife of the late John J. Franczyk, Sr.; loving mother of John (Kim) Franczyk, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Jack and Claire Franczyk and dear sister of the late Michael (Nancy) Trad and Lyovonne Trad.

Donna graduated from Marseilles High School in 1958, and earned her Associate of Arts Degree from Illinois Valley Community College in 1960. She worked for the Xerox Corporation for several years before marrying John on June 10, 1967. She raised her family in several places before moving to Arlington Heights, IL in 1977. From 1985 to 1993, she worked for Township High School District 214. Beginning in 1993, she worked for the Village of Arlington Heights until 1999 when she retired. She continued living in Arlington Heights until 2004 when she and her husband moved to Mount Prospect. She and her husband enjoyed many winters in Naples, FL in their retirement. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed hosting parties for them.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Friday, December 17 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
