December 8, 1953 – February 2, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Curtis A. Lebak, a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, and cherished friend, who left us on February 2, 2024. He was 71 years old.
Curt was born on December 8, 1952 to Edward and Evelyn (Jazynka) Lebak in Joliet, Illinois. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Tanise C. (Lane) Lebak. In 1984, they welcomed their only daughter, Stephanie L. (Lebak) Adomaitis into the world. Then in 2016, Curt became ‘Pops’ to his grandson, Daniel Curtis Adomaitis.
Throughout his life, he always made his family smile, and was reliable whenever his help was needed. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will endure through the countless lives he touched.
An engineer by trade, Curt dedicated over thirty years of his life to ensuring buildings were safe for communities, both its occupants and our environment. His passion for improving construction standards and teaching others was evident to all, and he found great fulfillment in solving engineering challenges.
He is survived by his wife Tanise, daughter Stephanie, son in law Nick, and grandson Danny, who will forever cherish the memories of shared laughter, love, and the wisdom he imparted. His unwavering support and love will forever live on in our hearts. He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, if you are able, to make a blood donation to your local blood bank.
