Darlene was born in Guilford County, August 16, 1953. She was a graduate of High Point Central High School. Darlene never once was scared of her cancer diagnosis, but insisted she was going to live life and share Jesus. She was a blessing and planted so many seeds for Jesus wherever she went. She loved Jesus, her family, friends, road trips with her best friend, chasing her dogs Speckles and Levi, showing high levels of excitement over anything, and finding a positive in every negative. She was a faithful member of Life Church Fellowship.
Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her son Jamie Coleman (Renee), and her granddaughter Kinsey Coleman that was her pride and joy and the love of her life.
Darlene was also a very special mother figure and very thankful for Geraldine Adams (Jimmy), and Julie Ward (Jamie). She loved the title MeeMaw and was a special one to Peyton, Paxton, Ryen, Logan, Collyns, Jake, Jared, Brandy (Austin), Amanda (Jeremy), Preston (April) and coming soon Ollie. Also surviving is her best friend since kindergarten, Barbara Montgomery who is truly her sister.
A Celebration of Darlene's life will be held on Friday, July 1 at 2pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Archdale NC Pastor Alvin Browning and Ryan Ransburg. The family will receive friends Thursday between 12p-8p and after the service at Jamie's in-laws house until 8 p.m. Friday. Please message Jamie or Renee for address.
