He was born March 24, 1922 in Randolph County to Curtis George and Annie Isom Goodwin Reddeck. On August 26, 1944, he married the former Marie Spencer who survives of the residence. A lifelong resident of Trinity, he was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and the Kilgo Bible class. He served on the church board in various offices and participated in the United Methodist Men. Curtis retired from Carolina Spring/ Leggett & Platt after 47 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by half siblings Clifford Goodwin and Geneva Wall, sister Wilma Fields, and brother Sherman Reddeck.
Surviving are a daughter Melissa Nance and her husband Chuck of Trinity; two sons, Doug Reddeck of Trinity and Steve Reddeck of Efland; granddaughter, Mia Nance; and two brothers, Richard Reddeck and wife Pat of Thomasville and Leon Reddeck of Archdale.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, June 16 at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm Sunday at Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale.
