Trish was born to Lois and James Fox at San Bernardino Community Hospital on May 4th, 1964. After graduating high school, she began working as a special education assistant and then became an elementary school librarian for the Hesperia Unified School District. She married the love of her life, Howard Bowers, on May 13th, 1989. Together, they raised two daughters, Shawna and Sheila.
Patricia's love for literature was a testament to her vibrant soul. She found joy in sharing stories from fantastical worlds with the children in her library, always ready with a book recommendation. Her passion for reading and her dedication to nurturing young minds will forever inspire those she touched.
Trish is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Fox, and her twin brother, David Fox. She is survived by her husband, Howard; her daughter Shawna and her husband, Josh; her daughter Sheila; her brother Mike and his wife, Theresa; her brother Richard and his wife, Meryle; her cousin Daniele; her aunt Doris; and her favorite people in the world, her grandchildren, Huntington, Ryland, Deegan, Marlee, Jagger, and Haylen. She is also survived by her many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends who are as close as family.
Trish will be remembered by her loved ones every time they see sunflowers and bumblebees and by the many readers whose lives she touched whenever they pick up a book.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Patricia Bower's name to the non-profit organization Reading Is Fundamental. As an elementary school librarian, Trish’s passion was supporting children in their love for reading. Trish ensured every child who entered her library had access to books. This is a way for us to continue that mission that was so important to her. To make your donation please access their website at rif.org. Thank you!
