She was born September 15, 1921, in West Union, WV, to the late Dewey and Frances Barth.
Sarah is survived by her daughters, Melissa Ihlanfeldt of Apopka, FL, with whom she resided for many years, and Melinda Oliverio and husband P.B. of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Michael Oliverio and wife Laura of Harmony, PA, Michelle Cook of Debary, FL, Bobby Oliverio and wife Samantha of Fairmont, and Rick Ihlanfeldt of Jacksonville, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Cook of Debary, FL, Haylee Ihlanfeldt of Jacksonville, NC, and Allessandra Marie Oliverio of Harmony, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Perkins.
Sarah worked as a teller for Lowndes Bank in Clarksburg and helped to manage Perkins TV Sales and Service for many years. She was an avid reader, boater, square dancer, golfer and cat lover.
Sarah was actively involved in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg for over 20 years. She loved singing in the church choir and continued singing in the choir at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka, FL, where she was a member until her health prohibited.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Comforter for the love and care they provided to Sarah in her final days. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
Visitation and services will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka Chapel. Visitation will be on Friday, August 14 from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 15 at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL.
