Our daughter left this earthly plane on Wednesday, October 3,2018 after a lengthy battle with a host of diagnoses. She was born with Turner syndrome, which occurs in one in 2,000 female babies. TS is a chromosomal condition that describes girls and women with common features, physical traits and medical conditions that are caused by the complete or partial absence of a chromosome.
She has two brothers, Jason of Winter Park and Gordon from Longwood, and two nieces, Mary and Ellie. One nephew, Marshall, is in the U S Army. She is survived by her father, Leroy LeBlanc of Winter Park and Irene and Bernie Chandler of Mount Dora (mother and stepfather).
Despite her difficulties, she was certified as a Legal Assistant, and trained at the Orlando Vocational Technical School in Costuming and Design. She would have completed her studies as a sewing teacher in one more session.
Her bravery in facing and climbing large obstacles was inspiring to the people who knew her.
While living in Deltona, she served as a Foster Parent for four very lucky children. She moved to Tavares in 2008, and joined her mother as a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic community. In lieu of flowers, we hope you will donate to the Turner Syndrome Society. They may be reached at 800-365-9944, or www.turnersyndrome.org.
Funeral services will be on October 15, 2018, at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. A celebration of her life will follow immediately after the service in the pavilion above St. Patrick’s.
