Hazel Louise Hudson

Hazel Louise Thorn Hudson, 90 of Apopka, passed away on May 13, 2017. She was born on October 3, 1926 in Dunnellon, FL. Hazel was a faithful servant to the Lord, and served him all the day so of her life; even to the end. She attended the Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church in Sanford for several years, where she was a very active member. She was loved to cook and feed anyone who came into her home as well as pass down many of her secrets to her family. The joy of her life was being a mother and a grandmother and caring for her family. She loved to be around people and had a servant’s heart for others, doing crafts and coloring, in which she would give to others in her later years in life. Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony” Hudson. She is survived by her children: Jerry (Judy) Hudson, Dayton (Marianne) Hudson and Denise (Hal) Hudson Fues; her brothers and sisters: Frank Evans, Paul Evans, Juanita Gillis, Katheryne Osteen and Jerry Evans; her 15 grandchildren; her 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17 from 6 – 8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery, Apopka, FL.
