George Lumar Ward, 81, of Apopka, FL, passed away on August 31, 2021. He was born in Ocala, FL on January 31, 1940. George graduated from Apopka High School. He was married to Joyce Metts on August 6, 1960. They had a wonderful 61 year marriage. George had a career in the electrical field for 40 years. Most of his career was with Abbott True Electric. He was a devoted Grandfather, Father, and Husband, and had a passion for working outside, woodwork and painting. He is survived by Joyce Ward, his wife, George R Ward, his son, Lori Macherone, his daughter and Tammy Ward, his daughter-in-law; his wonderful Grandchildren Chad Macherone, Sloane Etheredge, Corey Macherone, Madison Ward, Makenna Macherone; and his Great Granddaughter Jettie Roe Etheredge. Funeral Services will take place privately at a later date.
