Claudia Elisa Cole-Allen "Lisa"

Lisa was born in Elizabeth, NJ on October 5, 1948. After graduating from high school in 1966, she attended Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her RN degree in 1969.

Lisa worked for 20 years at several New Jersey hospitals in the OR, recovery room, and Med. Surg. unit, and at a Nursing Home. She later became certified to teach Aerobics and Aquatics and worked as an aquatics instructor for several years. Lisa ended her working career as a customer service representative with TruGreen Lawn Service.

Lisa married Earl J. Allen on September 18, 1983 in Belmar, NJ. She moved with Earl to Zellwood, FL in 2010. Lisa was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband Earl, her mother Claudia Cole of Zellwood, FL, her son Peter Evan Allen of Elizabeth, NJ, sisters Christine Scott of Zellwood, Florida, Carla Bashford of Eustis, Florida, Nancy Cole of Connecticut, Dr. Emilie Cole of Baltimore, Maryland, and Susan Eagle of Iselin, NJ, and brother Walter Cole of Edison, NJ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lisa spent her leisure time reading, listening to music, working out, and spending time with her husband and extended family. She enjoyed playing tennis, racquetball, swimming, and surfing. She also enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, and did an extensive series on Rock Poets with all the great writers on Wattpad.com. She wrote under the pen name of Lisaner and was known for encouraging new and young writers to the site.

Funeral Arrangements will as follows: Visiting hours will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday July 6, 2016 and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 7.
