Formerly of Rochester, NY, William was born on February 25, 1927 to William Conrad Keeler Sr. and Isabelle Culhane Keeler. While attending Clarkson School of Engineering William met and later married Alice Prosonic. They settled down in Webster, NY, built a house and raised 4 children.
William worked as an electrical engineer for Xerox for many years. He used his talents beyond work to design and build things, and he could fix absolutely anything. Bill passed those skills down to all of his children.
Bill enjoyed watching sports, fishing and playing bridge. During retirement he and Alice traveled around the country pulling a trailer, making friends wherever they went. 15 years ago they settled in Cary, North Carolina to be near their son Jeffrey.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his two older sisters, Doris Barry and Lorraine LaCroix.
William is lovingly remembered by his wife, Alice Keeler, two sons, two daughters and their spouses: William and Carol Keeler, Jeffrey Keeler and Theresa Kelly, Susan Jordan, Karen and Mark Sengel He will be fondly remembered as well by his seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and guests on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. Following this will be a moment of sharing in the chapel.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to Boys Town.
