William “Bill” Howard Henning, 82, passed away on February 19th at Hillcrest Skilled Nursing Facility in Raleigh surrounded by family. Bill was a quiet man who enjoyed being outdoors; hunting and fishing were his favorite past times. He proudly served as an aircraft hydraulic maintenance technician on US Air Force fighters and fighter bombers in Korea, during the Korean War. He retired from Valassis printing in Michigan and moved to NC to become a full-time grandfather.
Joining together to share memories are his devoted wife of 59 years, Mary Margret (Geromette) Henning; three children: William Henning, Geralin Thomas, Charlene Rozich; son-in-laws: William Thomas, Joseph Rozich; four grandchildren: John, Nicholas and Christopher Thomas, and Gabrielle Henning; last, but not least, his grand-dogs and grand-cats: Sophia, Fuzzy, Petey, Barney, Arthur, Lucy, Pip, and Rascal.
In the near future, a brunch including friends and family will be held in Bill’s honor.
Because animals brought Bill companionship and joy he would have preferred contributions be made to a local pet rescue group, Friends FUR Life K9 Rescue in Apex, NC. www.friendsfurlifek9rescue.com/how-you-can-help
