Vicky was born December 21, 1947 in Smithfield, Utah the third of five children to Harry and Arva Covey. Her siblings are Charlotte, Claire, Steven (deceased) and Colleen. She loved her siblings, in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Vicky is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life for 46 years, Brent Nolan Clark. Vicky and Brent had 6 children together. She loved each of her children and grandchildren unconditionally. 3 daughters; Brenda(Frank Candland), Michele(Frank Willford), Cynthia(Steve Heath), and 3 sons; Mark (Sally), Kevin (Jordan), Daniel (Julie); 31 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She was very loving and supportive of her children and grandchildren in their pursuits. She loved watching them and cheering them on.
Vicky was a faithful lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many capacities in the Church. She showed love and an infectious smile to everyone she met and worked with. She was well-known for her teaching and music skills. She sang in the Mormon Choir of Washington DC with her husband for many years. She taught in The Church and was a retired teacher for Montgomery County schools in Maryland as well as a piano teacher. All her students adored her. Vicky loved traveling, including serving a mission with her husband, Brent, for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Before her death, she enjoyed being Office Manager for her son Daniel's tree business, Clark Tree Services. She also looked forward to working with him out in the field.
Vicky was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and special friend to many. Her example of charity, service, hard work, empathy, and love will be a legacy that her family will always remember. She brought light wherever she went and will be deeply missed. Families are forever. We love you Mom!
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kentlands Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 16 Kent Gardens Circle, Gaithersburg, MD November 17 at 10:30am. The family will be receiving family and friends before the service at the church from 9-10:00am.
The family will also receive family and friends at the Apex Funeral Home in North Carolina on November 19, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:30pm. A graveside service will be held at the Holly Springs Cemetery in NC November 20, 2018 at 10:30am.
