Raymond Young Wade

Raymond was born December 9, 1943 in Petersburg, VA to the late Raymond Wallace Wade and Edith Vaiden Wade. He was a 1962 graduate of Petersburg High School in Petersburg, VA and a veteran of the US Army. Raymond was a sales manager with Thyssenkrupp (Dover) Elevator, retiring with 28 years of service. He always received high recognition yearly for his hard work and dedication.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Catherine Fletcher & Bobbie Brooks and niece Robin Brooks.

Raymond was a kind and loving husband to his wife of 56 years, Carol Branch Wade; an amazing daddy to their daughter Christy Wade Adley (Ryan); and the proudest papa to three grandchildren, Logan, Raegan, & Dylan. He is also survived by his nieces Barbara Gomez and Karen Hester.

He enjoyed country music, reading/collecting books, watching sports, collecting baseball cards, spending time with his beloved wife, and never missing his daughter or grandchildren's sporting events, awards ceremonies, chorus concerts, and all other activities.

The family will receive friends 2pm - 3pm Friday, August 26, 2022 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow at 3:30pm at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
