Melissa Mitchell McLain

Melissa Mitchell McLain, age 44, died January 9th, 2016 in Apex. Born in Apex, NC, she graduated from Fuquay High School in 1989. She also graduated from Lucas Travel School in Transportation and was employed by Mastec in Morrisville, NC.

Melissa departed with her daughter, Ashley Nicole Fite. She is survived by daughter, Caitlin Crosson, of Apex; father and mother, Alfred J and Diana Mitchell (Apex Sales), of Apex; brother, Todd and Wendy Mitchell, of Apex; grandmother, Florine Goodwin “Dini”; nephews, Matthew and Ethan Mitchell, Austin and Tyler Edwards and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Apex Funeral Home. Memorial Services for Melissa and her daughter, Ashley, will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 am at Olive Chapel Baptist Church in Apex.

Memorial Contributions are preferred to the Union Pines NJROTC program in her daughter Ashley's memory - 1981 Union Church Road - Cameron, NC 28326.

Missy will always be remembered for her smile, generous heart and willingness to do for others. She will soar on wings with eagles forever. Isaiah 40:31
