John Yee

John was born in China on January 23, 1949 and grew up in Southeast Michigan. John was a graduate of Center Line High School in Center Line, Michigan and Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI. He was a Vietnam War Veteran of the US Army. John was most recently employed with Rand-Whitney Packaging in Durham where he served as a design engineer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horn K. Yee.

John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheryl F. Yee; mother, Cynthia Eng Yee; son, Kevin Yee; daughter, Jessica Yee; brothers, Tim Yee (Liang); Gordon Yee; Dennis Yee; Mike Yee (Annie); and Paul Yee (Karen); sisters, Donna Schurig (Doug); and Debbie Yee.

A Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life will be held 11am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2-6pm June 4, 2015 at Wasik Funeral Home, 49150 Schoenherr Road, Shelby Township, Michigan 48315.
