John was born on December 19, 1964 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was one of 5 boys to Joseph and Rebecca Everhart. John graduated from high school in Mercer, Pennsylvania and college at Slippery Rock University. John served in the United States Air Force training pilots in high altitude operations. After four years in the military, he founded a computer software company in Raleigh, North Carolina. John and his brother, Mark, became co-owners of Autosoft South representing Autosoft International as software distributors in the Southeastern United States.
John is survived by his wife, Suzann Everhart, his 3 children, Morgan Anthony (Jonathan), Michael Mermelstein, and Alice Graham, his father and mother, Joseph Everhart and Rebecca Everhart, his brothers, Mark Everhart (Carla), and David Everhart (Melina), and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. His twin brothers, Brian and Joseph Everhart, predeceased John.
John loved to be near the water, whether it was a lake or a beach. He loved sports, traveling, paddle boarding, going to the gym, golfing, and watching Marvel movies. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and could talk to you about sports all day long. John was easygoing, thoughtful, loyal, and a dedicated employee. He had an incredible sense of humor, and his wit and storytelling were unmatched.
John was an exceptional man. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband, father, soon-to-be grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, boss, and coworker. He was adored and admired by many and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 11:30am at Apex Funeral Home, 550 West Williams Street Apex, NC 27502.
