James "Jim" Milton Meyer

Jim was born to parents Edward and Helen Meyer on March 26, 1941 in East Otto, NY. He was the middle of three children and graduated from Cattaraugus High School in 1959. Jim began his forty plus year career in the furniture manufacturing business at Fancher Furniture in Salamanca, NY and then spent over twenty years working at The Hitchcock Chair Co. in Riverton, CT. An avid sports fan, Jim loved the Yankees, Giants, hockey, bowling and NASCAR.

Jim married Donna Meyer (nee Frank) at the First Presbyterian Church in Ellicottville, NY on August 20, 1966. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Donna; son Peter; son-in-law Luis Tollinche; grandson Brent; brother William Meyer (wife Shirley); sister Dolores Geiger (husband Ray). He is preceded in death by both parents, step mother Marion and his son Brent.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Apex Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
