Frank, a native of Queens, NY, was born on January 11, 1927 to the late, Adolph and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Herzog.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved the Lord. He served in the U.S. Navy for several years, graduated from Pace University and married Doris Foster in 1950. They raised their family in Uniondale, NY, moved to Randolph, NJ in 1975, then to Waxhaw, NC in 1984, and finally to Apex, NC in 2017. He was involved in the church his whole life, singing in the choir, working with Youth Groups, and serving anyway he could. He had a beautiful voice and blessed many people with his singing in church.
He worked as a Controller/Accountant most of his life. He retired from Nabisco in 1983 and in 1984 he and Doris moved to Waxhaw, NC to volunteer at J.A.A.R.S. (Jungle Aviation and Radio Services of Wycliffe Bible Translators) until he finally retired at the age of 85.
He loved sports and in his younger years was quite a good softball pitcher. He played in several softball and bowling leagues. In later years he enjoyed watching almost any sport. After moving to NC he became quite the hobbyist creating many memorable Christmas pieces with his love of woodworking and painting. When he was no longer able to do his woodworking he enjoyed designing cards for family and friends with his coloring.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Herzog; son, Frank Herzog, daughters, Lynn Rogers and Barbara Vale and her husband Richard Vale; grandchildren, Ashley Rogers, Anna Vale and Matthew Rogers; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
