Our Lord and Savior called Frances Harrington Holleman home on the evening of May 12, 2016. Frances was the only child of John Chalmers Harrington and Libby Lee Stephenson born in Harnett County, North Carolina, on October 20, 1924. She was a faithful and loving wife to her husband of 69 years, Douglas Holleman who predeceased her in 2012. Frances is survived by her devoted children, Pat Holding (Frank), Steve Holleman, and Elaine Berry (Ray); her grandchildren, Scott and Brent Holding, Matt and Brandon Berry, Erika Osterday; and ten great-grandchildren who are left to cherish her memories.
A true servant of the Lord, Frances will forever be remembered as a humble and gentle soul who performed constant acts of kindness and gave abiding love to all her family and many friends. No matter what the need, her heart and her doorway were always open. Frances worked with the Town of Cary for more than 26 years. She and Doug were active members of First Baptist Church of Cary.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 218 S. Academy Street, Cary NC, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Her family greatly appreciates every act of kindness shown by the staff of Heartfields at Cary who affectionately knew Frances as "Grandma".
